Charing Cub Scouts
For boys and girls between 8 and 11 years old, no experience necessary. We
usually have around 20 youngsters on the register so meetings can be quite
hectic. We have four regular adult leaders to organise things but are always on
the look out for new blood.
We meet at Charing Scout Hut, located off Pett
Lane adjacent to the Bowling Club.
Meeting times are 7:00 to 8:30 on
Thursday evenings during school term time.
In addition to the weekly meetings we
go camping over the second May bank holiday weekend along with other packs from
around the Ashford area. Throughout the year we enter teams in local Cub
competitions including 5-a-side football, tug-of-war and handicraft. We also go
along to big events organised by Kent Cubs, this year 1066 Cubs invaded the
tourist attractions in Hastings.
