Browsing the wibbly wobbly web I stumbled on a neighbouring village website (Hamstreet) and the page "stuff we can't fit in somewhere else" attracted my attention:
- How about some Christmas lights criss-crossing the High Street this year? The Chocolate Box have put on a good light display and I'm sure the Duke's Meadow illuminations will be as good as ever, but some proper lights like they have in Charing would be great. Bring round a hat, I'll contribute!
- Some villages up north retain an upbeat feel even on dull days by criss-crossing their main street with bunting. Just an idea - how about some christmas lights across the High Street this year though? (They do this in Charing).
- 6 months advance notice: Can we have some nice Christmas lights over the High Street this year, like they have in Charing. Why not?
- How about a few rows of Christmas lights over the High Street this year, a bit like they have in Charing?
A big cheer for our Ladies of the Lights, they make other surrounding villages rather jealous
