During the last meeting (25 June 09) the members of the Charing Traders Association have taken the decision to both formalise the Association and change its name to
Charing Business Association
"the objective being to strengthen our presence and enable us to develop a larger association that could represent the interests of all businesses within Charing."
Promoting Charing for the benefit of all
The objectives of the Charing Business Association will be to promote Charing for the benefit of all of the community.
"Already in the short space of time that we have been running, we have had some great success.
The ‘One Armed Bandit’ organised by Kerry Oliver of Oliver’s raised awareness of the CTA (now CBA) and contributed funds to both the CTA & the Parish Church.
The banner printed and produced by Simon Clubly of the Wow Factory has been encouraging visitors into the village.
The ‘Odd Man Out’ competition was organised by the PTA of the Charing C.of.E. Primary School through the CTA and increased awareness and exposure.
The www.charingkent.co.uk website, kindly sponsored, run and managed by Karin Hermans of Wood You Like is receiving approx 1000 hits per month and is growing rapidly with subscribers"
